Frequently Asked Questions

The Petalouda Blueprint

  • Petalouda (πεταλούδα) is the Greek word for butterfly. It represents the profound metamorphosis that occurs when a woman moves from the restricted, enmeshed state of a high-conflict marriage into her full, differentiated self. Unlike a standard "change," a metamorphosis is a complete structural transformation. The Petalouda Blueprint is designed to support that emergence with clinical precision and grace.

  • We call our private track The Ascent because reclaiming your integrity in the midst of marital challenges is an uphill climb that requires endurance, a clear map, and a guide. This path is for the woman who needs high-level, individual attention to navigate the steep terrain of her specific dynamics. It is an invitation to rise above the "valley" of reactive cycles and view her life from a position of grounded perspective and height.

  • A Kaleidoscope works by taking existing pieces—even broken ones—and reflecting them through a specific structure to create a beautiful, symmetrical pattern. In our group program, we use the collective experience of the cohort to help you shift your "lens." By seeing the Blueprint applied through the stories of others, your own perspective is refined, allowing you to see new possibilities and patterns for your own life that were previously invisible.

  • While the Petalouda Blueprint is built on a foundation of clinical expertise and psychological outcomes, this is therapeutic coaching. Our focus is on tactical implementation, self-regulation, and behavioral strategy in the "here and now." We are not here to diagnose or provide long-term clinical treatment, but rather to provide the "schematics" for you to rebuild your internal architecture and maintain your integrity today.

  • The Strategic Pivot is a tactical 45-minute consultation available to clients in The Ascent. It is designed for those moments when you encounter a significant shift in your marital dynamic and need a high-precision adjustment to your boundaries or regulation. By providing a 10-business-hour window for this call, we create a "structured pause" that allows you to practice the Blueprint while knowing professional alignment is on the horizon.

  • That is exactly what the 15-Minute Clarity Call is for. We will discuss your current landscape and determine whether you need the intensive, individual focus of The Ascent or the collaborative, perspective-shifting energy of The Kaleidoscope.

  • I utilize the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach based on over 40 years of research. This method is designed to help couples strengthen their friendship, manage conflict more effectively, and create shared meaning within their lives. you will complete the Gottman Relationship Checkup, a comprehensive online assessment tool that identifies your specific strengths and challenges.

  • The process begins with a comprehensive assessment period during our first four sessions. This allows me to fully understand the "state of the union" in your relationship before we dive into active intervention:

    • Session 1: A joint session to hear your shared history and current challenges.

    • Sessions 2 & 3: Individual sessions for each partner to discuss personal backgrounds and perspectives.

    • Session 4: A joint session where I provide feedback on your relationship’s strengths and areas for growth, and we set our treatment goals together.

  • I offer two different session lengths to accommodate the depth of the work we are doing:

    • 55-minute session: $185

    • 85-minute session: $250 (The 85-minute option is often recommended for the initial assessment and complex conflict resolution.)

  • I do not accept insurance. I can provide a "superbill" upon request if you wish to seek reimbursement from your provider.

  • To get started or to ask any further questions, please contact me directly. We can discuss your needs and find a time that works for both of you to begin the assessment process.

A Note on Integrity

Because I hold a clinical license, I maintain a strict "one-hat" policy. To ensure the integrity of your progress and my professional ethics, I do not transition coaching clients into therapy, or therapy clients into coaching.
